wednesday the 2nd of December was our fith day of editing, and in this lesson, we had to get the clips that we used during the first chorus for the second part of the chorus as well. However, we decided to reverse the clip so all the transistions were backwards, this created an affect where everything she has to do to be this "prostitute" is a lot of work and she's finding it hard to come to terms with doing this job. We also put a clip of Rose standing in the middle of the road looking upset and down looking around, which we also speeded up the clip to make it look like she's in her own world very confused.

Editing day four
Wednesday 25th Novermber 2009
On the fourth day of editing, me and Gemma had to look for the singer singing the second verse of the song. We managed to find a clip where she sang that part of the song, however we then realised that when she sung the second sentence it was out of synch whereas the first sentence was. To fix this we decided to slow and speed up her singing, however this did not work. So we had to get another clip.

We also edited the clip of Rose behind the bar, which was a really good shot, and used it for the second part of the chorus. We also made the speed of this clip quicker which had an affective affect as it appeared as though, she was dancing behind the bar.
Day three of editing
Friday the 20th of Novermber 2009
On the third day of editing we managed to get all the clips we needed for the pre chorus where used quick shots of "rose" putting on her make up. The whole purpose of these shots was to introduce and imply to the audience that she is a seductive person. Once we cut down these quick clips we used a transition known as the "Cross dissolve", as a group we wanted this part of the music video to look like Britney's radar video with the quick flashes. however, on the mac, this effect was not available so we used cross dissolve as an replacement as it emphasised how busy her lifestyle was and also explains the narrative of the story.

Second day of editing
On friday 13th November 2009
On the second day of filming we bluetoothed the music onto the laptop, this helped us edit and synch the music with the lyrics. once we put the music onto the timelime we took a clip of "rose" walking down soho mainly focussing on her heels, which slowly introduces the character. We also took a clip of the singer singing the first verse and slowly managed to synch it with the actual music. Although this process was very difficult, me and Gemma finally managed to synch it so that it looks really realistic.

Editing first lesson
For the first lesson of editing me and Gemma paired up whilst Rahima was more confident in editing on her own. For this first lesson, we looked through all the clips we've filmed and gathered all the clips we thought we liked onto the timeline. We did this so that it saved us time the next time we edited so we don't have to watch through it again.
Filming day three
Today we went to film at Rahima's sister resturant in liverpool street. We decided to film in this resturant because we wanted to portray her premiscousness and that she's a very out going person. In this location we filmed Rose behind the bar, crawling on the floor and posing in different corners of the resturant. Through these shots, this portrayed her as a very sexual person.

filming day two
On the Second day of filming, we filmed our reminaing scenes at Soho, and then went to london southbank in Waterloo. For this particular day we filmed jennifer, Gemma's friend who is the lead singer. We filmed her singing the song in different locations and from different angles. throughout the day we took many different pictures to use for our other part of our coursework.
Filming day one
First day of filming was during half term tuesday.
We all met up at bermondsey station at 11 to go to Rose's house to get her look all sorted out and film some scenes such as her putting on her make up and a seductive scene. We spent 6 hours at rose's house shooting these short scenes several times from different angles so we had many experimental shots to experiment with whilst editing.
After shooting at rose's house, we went to Soho to shoot some scenes which was alot of fun as everyone was looking at what we were doing. Filming in the cold was challenging yet fun at the same time as it allowed us to experiment with different shots.

Plannig
During our media lessons we planned about the sort of characters/ actors we would need to use for the music video and what props we would need. A friend kindly volunteered to be the lead actress in the video who had to portray the part of a celebritty. As a group we thought that after a makeover she would play the part very well. We then had to find a suitable person to be the artist, and Gemma's asked her friend which she agreed to.
With the characters ready we had to plan where we would shoot so we chose soho, as this is where prostitution is well known in london. We also thought it would be good if we had a professional pole dancer, so we gathered the contacts and details of pineapple studio.
We also planned on what props we would need to use to prepare for the days of filming.
We asked a dance teacher at school to come up with a dance routine worth 30 seconds of the music video.

As part of my A2 Media coursework, in groups of 2/3 we have to create a music video based on an unsigned artist. To help with this coursework, we first had to begin by analysising music videos to help us understand the codes and conventions within music videos.
My group consists of me, Rahima and Gemma.
I chose to work with them as i have not worked with them in any other activities before and would like a new challange of working with others.
For several media lessons we went on unsigned.com to search for unsigned artists under the genre" rock" At first we came across an artist "straight Jack" whose song we really enjoyed, however, it was impossible to get her to send us the sound track so we had to search for other artists instead, which was quite challenging with little time. However, after failing to find a decent and workable artist under this genre we changed it to " indie/pop".

As a group we all found it difficult to find a artist that we would like to work on. Gemma helped come up with an artist called "porcelain and the Tramps" although this artist is already signed, she is unknown which we were still able to work with. This artist is classified as "alternative rock" which is different from what genre's we normally listen to. The song choice we chose was "redlight district" although, the title of the songs appears to be very explicit, as a group we decided that we could experiment and work around the lyrics.
We have come up with many ideas, based on music videos by Britney spears - Toxic, Radar, Slave for you and many more. These music videos had many scenes where the females are represented as to be "sexual".
